Parks, Beaches & Trails
We care for our parks, natural areas and streetscapes to enhance the Township's image and provide recreational spaces for residents and visitors. Our duties generally include grass cutting and trimming, beach preparation, tree planting, tree pruning and removal, flowerbed maintenance and watering, litter control, and repairs to fencing and outbuildings.
June is Recreation and Parks Month
In Ontario, June was first proclaimed Recreation and Parks Month in 2005 to celebrate the benefits of recreation and parks throughout the province. The theme is "Live it Everyday". Everyone is encouraged to enjoy our parks and trails through an outdoor activity. We would like to hear about your activity or an event you may wish to organize to celebrate the Recreation and Parks Month.
E-mail the Recreation Office with your ideas to hseabrook@nexicom.net
