County of Peterborough Reuses - An Online Garage Sale
The County of Peterborough Reuses Website lets you sell, give away or trade things you don't want with people who do, like an online garage sale. There's lots of free stuff available, plus it's good for the environment. You can also post requests for items that you need.
The site works like a classified ad section, and it's free to use!
You can post listings of items and materials you wish to get rid of or browse for those currently available in your area.

Do What You Can - Disposal of Non-Blue Box Items
This website is designed to help you find places to drop-off household hazardous and special wastes and unwanted electronics that can't be put in your Blue Box and should not go in the garbage. You can search for places by municipality, postal code or material.
The Search Engine helps you find locations where you can dispose of household hazardous and special waste (such as leftover paint, non-rechargeable batteries and empty propane cylinders), or electronics, (such as televisions, computers and fax machines).
Used Tires
There is no charge for Used Tires at the Landfill Site thanks to the Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS) Program.
Ontario Tire Stewardship (OTS) is an Industry Funding Organization (IFO) incorporated under Ontario's Waste Diversion Act, to implement and operate the Used Tires Program. This province-wide scrap tire recycling program for On-road and Off-road tires supplied into the Ontario market will divert scrap tires away from burning and landfilling to 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) processing and uses.
