Township Festivals
Each year, the Recreation Department directly supports community volunteers, in organizing Polar Fest and Polar Cup, the Jazz, Arts and Craft Festival, the Ennismore Shamrock Festival and Truck and Tractor Pull, and Lakefield Trail events. The department supports many other community events and organizations that provide sporting and recreational opportunities for all ages.

PolarFest takes place on the first weekend in February each year. Laughter, friendly competition, enjoying all that winter has to offer, and relaxing family fun. That's what this weekend is all about.
Each year, over 20 community groups come together to offer a full menu of activities for the young and young at heart pancake breakfasts, teen battle of the bands, horse drawn sleigh rides, kids' games and crafts, professional ice carvings, night-time guided hike and campfire, pond hockey, snow-pitch games, ballroom dancing, historic winter photo display, Sunday brunch, and so much more. For the very brave, PolarFest also includes the BEL Rotary Polar Plunge! Some activities are held as fundraisers for organizations, while others are offered free of charge.
PolarFest is sure to grow year after year, providing a fun-filled winter attraction for the local community and tourists alike!

Shamrock Festival

The Annual Ennismore Shamrock Festival is a long standing tradition in the heart of Ennismore. The 3 day-celebration starts Friday night with the Country 105 Video Dance, Saturday is family fun day and Sunday is the Truck and Tractor Pull - tons of fun for all to enjoy!
Jazz, Art & Craft Festival
